The 2009 gala was held over the weekend of 8-10th May.
The visiting locomotives this year were 20107/26007/31108/45060/55022 and residents 33103 & 33111. With all but the Class 31 in BR Rail Blue it was effectively a sort of late 1970’s gala! The Vep was not present this year so the rolling stock was made up of the usual Mk1 set but with a DMU and a few odd coaches scratched together to form another rake. Although there was a lot of top & tailing of trains there were no Harmans Cross-Norden shuttles this year, just more through trains.
